School Accountability Committee (SAC)
CCSD School Accountability Committees (SACs) collaborate with school leadership to increase parent engagement at the school. The SAC studies and makes recommendations about improvement plans, school budgets, and instructional programming.
The SAC is made up of parents, community members, and school staff.
Goals for the Year
- Understand how Dry Creek Elementary is working toward achieving school and district goals around College and Career Preparedness and Success and Inclusive Excellence.
- Review and provide feedback on the draft Unified Improvement Plan (UIP).
- Serve as a sounding board for school leadership on school policies, planning, and staffing plan.
- Provide updates on school programs and initiatives.
- To be a voice in shaping a positive school community experience.
How do I get involved with SAC?
Parents and community members are encouraged to attend meetings.
If you are interested in becoming an SAC member, elections occur every May for any seats that will be open for the following school year. Committee members serve a two-year term, with a 2-term limit. Watch for school announcements about the SAC elections process.
